The University of Agricultural Sciences Raichur is one of the leading farm science universities in Karnataka, fulfilling the needs and supporting the farming community in the Kalyan Karnataka region through teaching, research, and extension activities of academic excellence. The University Library started its independent functions in 2009. The Information Management Centre acts as a repository of printed and electronic resources for the academic community of the university, playing a crucial role in supporting the teaching, research, and extension activities of the university. The library houses an extensive collection of research monographs, reports, multi-volume reference works, dictionaries, encyclopedias, handbooks, and more on agricultural and allied sciences. It also facilitates access to more than 4,000 electronic journals through consortia like CeRA (Consortium for E-resources in Agriculture) ICAR-New Delhi. At present, users can access over 65,797 books, 9,630 bound volumes of national and international journals, 3,201 theses and dissertations, 488 annual reports on agricultural and allied sciences, and 314 annual reports of agricultural universities and institutions.

The library employs KOHA (Library Management System) integrated with RFID technology to ensure the security and efficient management of library resources and services. Additionally, the library provides OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) and Knimbus remote access software for seamless access to various e-resources and services subscribed to by the library.
